Editorial Policy

CryptoReview UK is committed to providing accurate, transparent, and unbiased cryptocurrency exchange reviews for UK users. This page explains the standards and principles that guide every piece of content we publish.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial team operates independently from any commercial partnerships. While CryptoReview UK earns revenue through affiliate links, this relationship has no bearing on how we rate, rank, or review cryptocurrency exchanges. Our aggregated scores are calculated from publicly verifiable third-party data sources, and no exchange can pay for a higher score.

How We Review Exchanges

Every exchange review on CryptoReview UK follows the same data-driven methodology. We aggregate ratings from four independent platforms:

  • Trustpilot (35% weighting) — verified consumer reviews reflecting overall satisfaction.
  • Reddit Sentiment (25% weighting) — unfiltered community opinions from relevant subreddits.
  • Google Play (20% weighting) — Android app ratings and review volume.
  • App Store (20% weighting) — iOS app ratings and review volume.

Each source rating is normalised to a consistent 0–10 scale, then multiplied by its weight. The weighted values are combined to produce a single aggregated score. This ensures no single platform can disproportionately influence the final rating.

Affiliate Relationships

CryptoReview UK participates in affiliate programmes with some of the exchanges we review. When you click certain links on our site and sign up for an exchange, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are clearly identifiable, and we disclose this relationship on all pages containing affiliate links.

Affiliate partnerships never influence:

  • Which exchanges we review
  • The aggregated scores we publish
  • The order in which exchanges are ranked
  • The content of our reviews, articles, or guides

Accuracy and Fact-Checking

We take the accuracy of our content seriously. All exchange reviews display a “Last updated” date so you can see when scores were last verified against their sources. FCA registration data is verified directly against the FCA Register, and we provide direct links for you to verify this information independently.

Corrections Policy

If we discover an error in any of our published content, we correct it promptly and transparently. Material corrections are noted on the affected page. If you believe any information on CryptoReview UK is inaccurate, please contact us at contact@cryptoreview.co.uk and we will investigate and update the content as needed.
